Head wine retailer at 'Les vins sur le Fruit', Laurent Jamois previously ran his own restaurant. For several decades he worked in various establishments in the medieval town of Lagrasse.

Laurent possesses a unique savoir-faire which combines banquet and reception, with gourmet dining, to the utmost delight of his customers. Throughout his career he nurtured his vision of his profession, brining together haute cuisine and entertainment.

His first restaurant was called The Three Graces, in tribute to the famous painting by Raphaël. Just like the Borghese family, people from Lagrasse are ardent connoisseurs of art, wine and history. Here Raphaël would have found the everyday happiness that was immortalised in his famous painting.

Laurent dedicated himself to The Three Graces for 3 years; he then reembraced the creative process, setting himself new goals two streets down, at number 3 Rue Mazels. Laurent stayed true to the hearty atmosphere of Parisian bistros with his restaurant le Temps des Courges. Numerous connoisseurs and street entertainers are drawn to the region. Whilst the guests savour the dishes prepared by the evening's host, these performers come to strum away at their instruments into the dark of the night, on the terrace of the Courges restaurant. This lucky lot get to taste the best bottles of the region, from Fonsainte from Pech Latt, to Mariole from Voulte Gasparet.

During the fifteen years spent in charge of the Corges, his passion for wine never left him; these bottles conjure up images of the joy of summer banquets, locals and tourist enjoying the food and atmosphere under the shade of the olive trees, the music of the Abracadagrasse festival playing in the background.

Les Vins sur le fruit came about from the desire to open everyone’s eyes to world of wine. It wasn't easy to leave the ovens for the cold of the wine cellar. This new adventure opened doors for him onto a world very close to the universe of gastronomy, the world of oenology. He put his heart and soul into the creation of Les Vins sur les Fruits, a collection of the best local wines, at times rich, at times sensational.

Your taste buds will be all the more satisfied, that’s for sure. This selection of organic wines from the Corbières region and elsewhere is typical of the warm nature of our wine seller, and his desire to offer us excellent wine at a reasonable price. Don't expect to find overpriced table wines here, but rather, a full bodied wine, guaranteeing an intensity of flavour. Exquisite in both character and body, these are no simple wines, they emphasise the taste and quality of the product.
